Showers and thunderstorms this morning will produce pockets of moderate to heavy rain, so be alert for changing weather conditions and areas of localized street flooding during the morning commute. As we head into the afternoon, you will see some sunny breaks and we'll continue to track scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some producing brief heavy downpours. Temperatures will top out in the upper 70s, making for a warm but unsettled day.
A few more scattered showers and perhaps a thunderstorm will remain possible tonight before activity gradually winds down. It'll be a mild night with overnight lows settling into the 60s. While not everyone will see rain, keep in mind that any lingering shower could still produce a quick burst of heavy rainfall.
Thursday brings a mix of sun and clouds with partly sunny skies at times, but the atmosphere remains unsettled. We'll once again see hit-or-miss scattered showers and thunderstorms developing during the day. Not everyone gets wet, but if you have outdoor plans, be prepared for a passing downpour. Afternoon highs will stay in the 70s.
The weather pattern finally improves as we head into the end of the week. Sunshine returns on Friday with dry weather and highs in the low 80s, setting the stage for a beautiful Saturday featuring sunny skies and temperatures again in the lower 80s. By Sunday, expect a pleasant start before clouds increase during the afternoon. Highs will range from the upper 70s to the lower 80s, with the next chance for unsettled weather arriving beyond the weekend.
