Major flooding on Neptune Avenue in Coney Island created hazardous conditions for vehicles and pedestrians on Monday.

Video taken around 12 p.m. shows a pedestrian struggling to walk through the floods at West 33rd Street and Neptune Avenue.

Vehicles are also seen struggling to drive down Neptune Avenue.

Neighbors tell News 12 that flooding happens in the area often, though this flooding was some of the worst they've seen.

"I think it's crazy," Coney Island resident Jay said. "Because every time it rains out here, we get flooded. I don't know if it's from the ocean or from the rainwater itself, but this has been going on a long time"

"I didn't expect it to be this bad when I walked outside," Serenti Davis said.

Much of the high water levels have receded. The city urges anyone who sees any clogged drains causing flooding to call 311.
