A powerful storm on Friday brought down an enormous tree in Long Beach that is believed by city officials to be around a century old.

The tree came crashing down at the corner of East Pine and Harmon streets.

The massive trunk split but remarkably missed nearby cars and homes, city officials said.

No injuries or property damage were reported.

Officials say PSEG has been requested due to the presence of live wires.

After they secure the scene, city crews will chop up the fallen giant and clear the street.
