A 5-year-old girl is recovering after police say she was grazed in the head by a stray bullet during a shooting in Longwood.
A 15-year-old boy is now under arrest, while two other gunmen remain on the run.
Police say the gunfire erupted around 5:25 p.m. Wednesday outside 1007 Southern Blvd. Surveillance video captured the chaos, showing three gunmen opening fire on the street during what witnesses described as a fight involving a group of teens.
Investigators say one of the suspects could be seen firing a gun without looking, while another appeared to pull up his pants as he recklessly shot down the sidewalk. During the gunfire, a bullet unintentionally grazed a 5-year-old girl on the right side of her head, according to police.
The child was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover.
NYPD detectives arrested a 15-year-old boy Thursday morning around 10 a.m. He is now facing several charges, including attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
