The FDNY says three people were injured - one critically - when a fire broke out in Van Nest.

Firefighters responded to 654 Morris Park Ave. just before 9 p.m. on Wednesday.

Investigators say the fire started in a commercial building.

One person was critically injured and another person suffered serious injuries. A third person suffered minor injuries.

All three were taken to Jacobi Hospital to be treated.

The cause of the fire was not immediately clear.
