A man accused of murder and drug trafficking is now in ICE custody after a traffic stop last week in Orange County.

The Department of Homeland Security identified the man as 37‑year‑old Alejandro Perla Cruz.

He came to the United States illegally from El Salvador, DHS said.

Officials said Perla Cruz is a gang member and an international fugitive.
