Congressman Tom Suozzi paid a visit to ICE holding facilities in Suffolk County.

The move comes after a letter written by a federal judge claimed immigrants were being held in a small room for hours at the Central Islip courthouse.

In a social media post, Suozzi says he saw four holding rooms on Monday.

The spaces are not designed for long-term detention, or for several people, according to the Glen Cove Democrat.

Suozzi did say they were empty, clean and well-lit during his visit.

Last week, a U.S. attorney order said ICE cannot hold detainees in those rooms for longer than 12 hours.
