NJ Transit says all Morris and Essex Line rail service lines are on or close to schedule this morning after a car crash in Dover caused delays Wednesday night for riders.

Commuters saw delays of up to 30 minutes after a car smashed into a train on the Morris-Essex Line shortly before it left the Dover station. The train was on its way to New York Penn Station.

Photos from the crash show the front of the vehicle completely crushed. A spokesperson for NJ Transit says the train was stationary as it was loading customers at Dover station when it was struck by the car at the South Morris Street grade crossing adjacent to Dover station.

Officials say no one in the car was injured and none of the 65 passengers or crew on the train were injured.

NJ transit police are leading the investigation into what caused the crash.
