An altercation involving a group of teenagers Friday in Port Jefferson Station ended with a 15-year-old being stabbed, Suffolk police say.

The incident took place at around 10:15 p.m. in the parking lot of a McDonald's on Nesconset Highway.

The victim was hospitalized and treated for his injuries, according to authorities.

Police say the stabbing remains under investigation.

No other details have been released.
