It happened at around 5:30 p.m. when an N25 bus, which was not in service, was in the left-hand turning lane on Peninsula Boulevard to turn south on to Hempstead Avenue when it was struck in the rear by a motorcycle.

There were no injuries to the bus driver and there were no passengers on board.

The spokesperson said, “NICE Bus and its safety team are cooperating with the Nassau County Police Department and the Public Transportation Safety Board in their investigation, and we defer further comment to those agencies.”
