An East Meadow man accused of slashing another man with a box cutter Friday night is facing assault and weapons charges.

Police say Oscar Aguilar, 31, got into an altercation with a 42-year-old man on Prospect Street and slashed his left hand.

The victim was hospitalized in stable condition, according to authorities.
