Nick Reiner avoids death penalty over his parents’ killings but still faces life in prison

A man was sentenced to 22 years to life in prison for a man who admitted to sexually abusing two senior citizens in Mastic Beach.

Both incidents happened in October 2023 when Derrick Clancy broken into the two victims' home by climbing through a window.

Clancy was arrested less than two weeks following the first attack.

He pleaded guilty to the crimes in April.
