Supermarket chain Stop & Shop has announced that they will be closing some locations.
The chain released a statement saying it has made the difficult decision to close a number of under-performing store locations across the country by 2028.
The company says the move will allow it to invest more money into the stores that are doing well.
There are 100 Stop & Shop stores in New York and half of them are on Long Island.
Stop & Shop did not say if any local locations will be shutting down.
