Former Putnam County Executive Bob Bondi is being honored for decades of service.

Bondi served 20 years as the county executive and was an elected official for more than thirty years. His years of service were in the spotlight during a ceremony held at the county office building.

His former colleagues, including current Putnam County Executive Kevin Byrne, were there to present Bondi with a plaque.

"I'm just very grateful that I had the opportunity to serve here and this past year I was in. And to work with so many wonderful people who've had such an impact on my life. Thank you," Bondi expressed during the ceremony.

Bondi now lives in Steuben County, New York, where he owns and operates an organic dairy farm with his family.
