Police seek public’s help finding missing 81-year-old with Alzheimer’s

Police are asking for the public’s help locating a missing 81-year-old man who suffers from Alzheimer’s.
James Thomas Lee, who goes by the name Robert, has been missing since Wednesday. The discovery was made after a family member visited his home on North Sea Road in Southampton, where they found the front door open and the stove on.
A search is underway involving county, state, local law enforcement, emergency responders and neighbors.
"Any place that we thought he might be, we checked,” said his nephew, Richard Hite. “Like the reservation. We have family there. He worked there."
“I feel hopeful. We feel hopeful and God has the final say, so we're trusting God," said his niece, Denise Smith-Meacham.
Lee’s family say he has other illnesses in addition to Alzheimer’s.
"He's got a heart issue as well. A couple of other ailments, and life threatening, so we're just concerned,” said his nephew.
"We don't know what he's wearing, or if he is prepared for the elements. He has medication that hasn't been taken. It's still here, so now we're concerned about his physical and mental wellbeing,” said Sgt. Gina Laferrera, of the Southampton Town Police Department Detective Division.
Police say Lee has a slim build with a salt and pepper beard. He wears glasses and usually a baseball cap with the word "Native" on it.
Family members say Lee was last seen by a neighbor on Tuesday afternoon.
