A Mastic Beach man was arrested Monday night for driving drunk on the Long Island Expressway and crashing while his 5-year-old son was inside the car.
Officers say they responded to the eastbound side near Exit 66 in Yaphank after a Toyota crashed into the center median.
Police discovered that the driver, 34-year-old Daniel Kissoon, was intoxicated and had his 5-year-old son inside the vehicle.
The 5-year-old was taken to a hospital for evaluation, according to authorities.
Kissoon faces multiple charges and is due in court on Tuesday morning.
