Before being a police officer in Nassau County’s First Precinct, Chris Bright served around five years on active duty in the Marine Corps.

“It’s the greatest brotherhood there is,” Bright says of the Marine Corps. “So, it’s a very special brotherhood and I’m proud to be a part of it.”

Bright was deployed to Okinawa and Syria, even reaching the rank of captain, before joining the Nassau County Police Department in 2021.

He says service is in his blood since many of his relatives also served in the military and NYPD.
