Dozens of students will be headed back to class with new school supplies this week.

The Long Island Nets partnered with Jovia Financial Credit Union Friday for the second annual back to school donation drive.

Boxes with backpacks and school supplies were delivered to Archer Street Elementary School in Freeport and Northwest Elementary School in Amityville.

The schools also received new basketballs and 1,300 books.

Organizers say many of the supplies were collected from donation boxes set up at 13 local Jovia branches.
