Several Suffolk neighborhoods have been the target of “fence crashers” this year, dealing their property damage as part of a destructive TikTok challenge.
Raul Balkission, of Medford, says the damage isn’t just harmless teenage hijinks, but outright destruction of property, costing him dearly.
Balkission provided News 12 with video of the outside of his Medford home early Monday morning. It shows two young people deliberately driving up to his fence, getting out and then smashing their way through the fence before driving off.
The act left a huge hole in his fence.
As previously reported by News 12, it’s part of “The Kool-Aid Man” challenge. It’s been seen in multiple places on Long Island this year.

Balkission says he paid $5,000 for his 80-foot fence and has had it for only seven months. He says he had to pay $300 to repair the damage.
“It's not a joke at all, it's horrible that you have to call someone, take time off of work make sure it's done properly, it’s a big inconvenience with it all,” he says.
Neighbors in Lake Ronkonkoma and Lake Grove have also reported this type of behavior to local authorities.
