Great South Bay Music Festival rolls on to second day with reggae, ska, punk acts on deck

The weekend of fun is just getting started in Patchogue, with day two of the Great South Bay Music Festival starting tonight.
The festival runs through Sunday at Shorefront Park in Patchogue. The lineup includes Kerry Kearney and The Fabulous Thunderbirds.
It's the festival's 14th year, which will feature a mix of classic rock, jazz, jam-band, country, funk and more. The concert features four stages, including one for children.
Friday’s lineup largely features reggae, ska and punk acts.
Ten bands performed Thursday evening, including Electric Hot Tuna and Dave Mason.
Kearney says the festival is all about the music and the fans.
"My favorite thing is to see everyone I know," Kearny says. "It's a lot of fun, it's great getting all those people together like that."
Organizers tell News 12 the music festival generates around $5 million a year for Suffolk County.
