Brooklyn man arrested for trying to scam senior citizen out of $20K
The 68-year-old victim got a message on his computer claiming it had been compromised and was told he had to withdraw the cash to safeguard it.

A man is accused of trying to scam a senior citizen out of $20,000 in Nassau County.
According to Electronic Squad/Fraud and Forgery Section detectives, the 68-year-old got a message on his computer claiming it had been compromised.
When the victim called the number on the screen, he was told he had to withdraw the funds from his bank to keep his money safe.
The Baldwin man took the cash out of his account, but then became worried he was being scammed and subsequently called police.
Following an investigation, Nassau police located Biaodi Jiang, 50, of Brooklyn, and placed him under arrest without incident.
Jiang will be charged with attempted grand larceny when he is arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Tuesday.
Police are warning the community to be on alert and to remind vulnerable family members, friends and neighbors about potential scams or frauds.
