So much to see. Meteorologist Hilda Hilda. It's a mild day today. Yes, it is. And those clouds are starting to thicken across our state too. So we'll notice a cloudy afternoon but those active winds will stay pretty consistent. We're achieving right around 50 degrees slightly above where we should be for this time. It's not too drastic, but we will, but we'll, but we will see drastic change, especially starting off tomorrow morning into the twenties. We go and we could expect that trend to continue into Thursday. Now, a wet weekend is ahead but not entirely. So we're just talking about a Sunday as a new possible chance. So the winds will stay out of the west and drier air will continue to filter in as well as colder air, especially Wednesday as a shifts noticed until more northerly winds for now, the westerly winds will provide that breezy condition and onset with those clouds lingering across our skies into the afternoon into the evening as well. By the overnight time frame, it's possible that we get some nice clearing and of course, then those temperatures will also be settling down to the thirties, feels like into the twenties, you need the extra layers and the clouds will also come into the mix once again into the afternoon. Now, what's next, what we could possibly be seeing some flurry action with the system approaching New Jersey here for Wednesday into Thursday as we start off, Hanukkah will notice a downward trend in temperatures settling back down to the thirties and forties. We're keeping an eye out on Sunday as our next potential for widespread wet weather across our state. We have more details in minutes.

To today's weather. What are we shaping up to have on tap? Is it warm? Is it going to be, it's going to be warmer? And with El Nino getting stronger into this winter, we were mentioning that winter weather ready special. We're going to have more details on how it will affect our winter. But before we get to that, we're talking about a temperature roller coaster. Of course, we love the cyclone, especially during the summer, not quite summer temperatures. In fact, we're going the wrong way. We are getting a whole lot colder by midweek, only thirties for highs and it also could come with a couple of snowflakes mixed in. So let's take a look at our latest feature cast tomorrow morning quite a bit colder. Look at those thirties from flatlands down towards Bensonhurst, taking Bay Parkway down, let's say towards uh Bay Ridge, it's going to be only about 38 degrees, not much warming up because the clouds will be moving in into the afternoon. We're going to temperatures mostly in the middle of forties. That's it. So back to reality here, back to December feel forties basically all afternoon long. So it's going to be colder. You definitely want to bundle up out there into the afternoon and evening, then into Wednesday. Similar story colder even in fact, barely getting to 40 here across our borough, Futurecast does not quite show those snowflakes overhead a little bit better of a chance. In fact, heading into Thursday again, a lot of messy weather, a lot of disorganized area of low pressure, not necessarily going to give us rain on Wednesday, but take a look at Thursday clipper system could bring a couple of snowflakes, which is why I have that one little snowflake there on the 10 day forecast. But as we head into the 10 day forecast, bigger storm system likely though by next Sunday. All right, Alan.

Oil field and track and of course, Santa was there as well. Let's take another look at our hyper local forecast. The meteorologist Matt Hammer, I think they caught the grinch after his heart enlarged a few extra sizes because he looked to be in a, in a good mood. So, yeah, great, great event there. And we know there are a lot of those types of events over the next couple of weeks to come. Hopefully the weather does pan out well for them. Let's head to the map right now and, and talk about as we go throughout the rest of today and beyond today is fine. It's just mostly cloudy, but you don't have to worry about any rain or snow from those clouds if anything, a Sprinkle in spots. But for the most part into this evening, just mostly cloudy and dry. And we go from a high of around 50 degrees essentially right now down into the lower and middle forties as we go into the evening hours. Now, there will be some partial clearing after around eight or nine o'clock tonight. Well, that will allow us for temperatures to get colder down into the lower and middle thirties and there will still be a little bit of a breeze around overnight and it's tomorrow morning. So it can actually feel like the upper twenties in spots into Tuesday morning. And just like what happened today, we start off with sunshine tomorrow morning, but clouds will win out into the afternoon hours tomorrow and it will just be a much more chilly feel the next three days after today today. Thumbs up weather for sure, not perfect, limited clear sky. In fact, mostly cloudy skies from this point forward until about after eight or nine o'clock tonight. And then temperatures slowly fall back through the thirties overnight. And it will be a morning tomorrow where you want the winter coat, the gloves and the hat again with those early morning temperatures in the low to mid thirties on two tomorrow, early sunshine giving way to more clouds into the afternoon highs in the lower forties tomorrow. So a bit more of a chilly feel slightly below average temperatures compared to a slightly above average temperature day today, even chillier for Wednesday and Thursday right around 40 for both days. This is not as cold as last week, but it's still chilly upper forties on Friday. So temperatures recover Friday into the weekend and Saturday will be the pick of the week, 53 clouds, some hints of sun before more rain possibly on Sunday ahead of a dry start to next week with highs in the 40.

I'm meteorologist Rich Hoffman. You're hyper local weather forecast. After the wet weekend, we had a dry morning with a lot of sunshine. Now, throughout the rest of our day, increasing clouds, it will become mostly cloudy and it is a bit breezy winds westerly at 10 to 15 MPH and it's mild. Temperatures are a few degrees above average and high temperatures today are in the fifties tonight, 34 degrees clouds evening. So heading out this evening, temperatures, mid forties and then by the time you wake up on your Tuesday morning, temperatures around 34 degrees. So it is turning colder over the next 24 hours, clouds are on the increase. We've had some breaks of sunshine this afternoon, but more clouds building through. There's a front through upstate New York, a little bit of rain and snow showers here as this approaches. Long Island clouds will move in right now. It comes through dry. There may be a quick Sprinkle tonight for the first part. Then after midnight, sky is clear and that colder weather comes in for tomorrow. So here's what we have through this evening. The evening rush hour is dry with the clouds. Here's our forecast for warm 47 degrees around five o'clock, 45 at 9 p.m. And then 39 by the time you go to two o'clock in the morning. So there's the colder weather into tomorrow morning, those west northwest winds to start off the day on Tuesday. So the evening rush hour once again will be dry, mostly cloudy skies here at five o'clock temperatures mid and upper forties towards 8 to 9 o'clock, a slight chance of a Sprinkle over the east end. Otherwise, the clouds are giving way to clearing skies and to start off the morning hours of your Tuesday, you'll start off with sunshine and temperatures in the thirties. Now, just like today. Sunshine in the morning, clouds coming in Tuesday afternoon, highs are colder, topping out to a high 45 degrees Tuesday afternoon and on Wednesday and Thursday, highs only in the lower forties. Our next threat of rain now coming in towards Sunday, Sunday morning through the midday into the afternoon. Some wet weather with some gusty winds recapping. Today, highs are in the fifties, mostly cloudy skies. Breezy. It's mild. Then tonight turning colder lows are in the thirties. There's that extended forecast. We are watching the colder weather. For the kids. All right. So we're checking back in with Alan. So Alan, if the kids want to play after school today outside, what are the chances for something like that? Oh, easily, no problem. Just make sure you have that typical winter attire. It's going to be typical early December weather near 50 degrees. But we're about to go on a temperature roller coaster first. The downswing take a look at how high temperatures from fifties this afternoon, forties and thirties by midweek, it is going to be quite cold by midweek and then we rebound in a big way. But that will come with rain. We'll talk about all that in just a sec, but let's get through the next couple of days again this afternoon. Not bad. Lots of clouds into the overnight hours, the clouds clear that's going to allow us to cool on down, back into the thirties. So tomorrow morning's commute, you definitely want that heavier winter jacket out the door then into the afternoon. Notice those clouds return and that's going to keep us even colder. How about just 43 during the afternoon? Yeah. So instead of 53 like this afternoon, only about 43 into tomorrow afternoon. Quite a bit colder. You're going to notice that difference gets even colder into Wednesday. Sure. We'll clear some of the clouds out, but it's still looking quite unsettled. I wouldn't roll out an isolated Sprinkle or two. this particular model has it out towards Long Island, but I could see a rogue Sprinkle here across the city heading into Wednesday and taking big picture. You can see there's a lot of unsettled energy everywhere across the northeast so that storm system could easily get to right over us a little bit better of a chance on Thursday though. Take a look at that Clipper system, another sign that it's winter out there and it's showing a few festive flakes getting pretty close to the city by Thursday afternoon. So that's why can't rule out on a couple of those flurries on Thursday. But at least that's going to be the bottom of our temperature roller coaster gets a whole lot warmer, but a big storm system is possible by next Sunday. Oh, ok. So what are we talking here? It could be quite a bit of rain. Of course, it's, it's Sunday. Today is only Monday. We have lots of time to track it, but I wanted to highlight that for you with that yellow highlight because it's a possibility move your plans for Saturday, that's for sure. And storm watch team. Meteorologist Scott Skoff is here now and hey, it looks pretty nice and sunny out there. Oh, it's be a beautiful, nice. It is looking great. Today is actually gonna be one of the nicest days of the week because tomorrow it's gonna be some changes. Yeah, some changes might not be the best thing in the world. But hey, you know what, today, let's just go outside and enjoy it. Pleasant conditions. Gonna be a cloudy and breezy into the afternoon. So all in, all looking peachy keen out there, we are seeing some good conditions out across western Connecticut. But as you go towards tomorrow and Wednesday, even Thursday, things are gonna get colder. So be ready for that winter gear, subfreezing temperatures in the mornings, real cold in the afternoons, upper thirties to around 40 colder as the week progresses. But then the temperatures rise back up Friday in the forties, fifties on the weekend. But Sunday could come with a catch. Some showers are on the way, even some stronger winds and that's what we're gonna be seeing really off and on throughout the week. 10 to 20 MPH. So, garbage cans might get knocked over, secure them in the garage. Anchor down those holiday decorations, the inflatables you don't want Mr Grinch going all over down to your neighbor's house. Right, because we are looking at a little bit of snow over in New York state that is gonna be just to our north. But however, we could see a stray raindrop lake or ice pedal coming on in from the Great Lakes over the next several hours as colder air comes on. And right now though mainly cloudy skies as that's gonna be continuing to push across Litchfield, Fairfield and New Haven counties into the overnight hours. So what are you looking at cloudy skies this afternoon? Temperatures in the upper forties to around 50 degrees? That's really the warmest it's gonna get throughout the day. Temperatures will cool down with a little bit of moisture pushing in around dinner time towards war in Cornwall, Litchfield County along and north of 84. Then that cooler air is gonna dry us out, make us real cold towards Cornwall 2930 is up. So across the region Tuesday morning. So kids definitely have the jacket on their way to school and then a few more clouds into the afternoon for your Tuesday. But today, upper forties toward the north fifties down to the south, mostly the partly sunny skies, more breezy and cloudy conditions as the day goes on with a few gusty winds overnight, those temperatures dropping to around freezing with clearing conditions into the morning. Tomorrow, those winds will make it feel a little bit colder into the twenties. But then as we go into your Tuesday tomorrow, 43 degrees 40 on Wednesday, 38 on Thursday, looking at some more wind and clouds and then those temperatures increase forties and fifties as Hanukkah progresses, then some rain chances on Sunday.
