Two teens have been arrested for allegedly chucking bricks and cinder blocks at cars on the Meadowbrook Parkway in Uniondale last week.

State police say Andrew Denton, 17, of East Meadow, and Jacob Palant, 19, of Syosset, have been taken into custody.

The two allegedly threw the items at cars from the Meadowbrook overpass located near Kellenberg High School on the day after Christmas.

Two vehicles were struck by the thrown objects. A 2015 Jeep and a 1996 BMW sustained damaged that totaled more than $1,500 each, according to state police.

A female passenger in the BMW was hospitalized with injuries to her face from a brick. Officials say she suffered permanent damage to her cornea.

Denton and Palant were both charged with three counts of second-degree reckless endangerment, one count of felony second-degree assault, and two felony counts of second-degree criminal mischief.

Denton, a high school senior, has been in trouble with the law before. He was charged in a swatting incident back in April when police say he called 911 and falsely reported that someone was at a Massapequa park with a gun, sparking a massive manhunt.

Prosecutors say Denton also violated an order of protection in a separate case. They say he called an ex-girlfriend and threatened to break into her house, slit her throat and shoot her mother.

Denton was ordered held on $1 million bond. His family did not appear in court.

Palant, who has no previous arrests, was released on $50,000 bond. He declined to respond to reporters' questions as he left court, but his father denied his son's involvement. "I trust my son," he told News 12. Asked what he would say to the victims, Palant's father said he's "sorry that it happened," but added that his son "did not throw any bricks."

Both teens pleaded not guilty and are due back in court Jan. 5.
