Police are investigating a fatal double shooting in Freeport.

Cops say 22-year-old Christopher Clarke and 20-year-old Brendan Lawrence, both of Westbury, were shot to death just after 9 p.m. Monday in front of a home on Jesse Street.

?Sometimes things happen to certain people and you expect it,? Kyle Adams, a friend of the victims tells News 12 Long Island. ?Neither one of these dudes you'd expect this from. They're good kids."

Several neighbors reported hearing several shots fired. Both victims had girlfriends who live in the area, but not in the neighborhood where the shooting occurred. It is not clear why the two men were on Jesse Street or how they got to Freeport. Police don?t think the shooting is connected to the home the victims were found in front of.

Police say Clark and Lawrence had their wallets and personal belongings on them. No eye witnesses have come forward, and no arrests have been made. Police are still searching for a motive and ask anyone with information to call them at 1-800-244-TIPS.
