Two more Long Island businesses say they have had donation jars stolen from them.

The revelation comes just days after police arrested a Babylon man for allegedly stealing a donation jar from a Lindenhurst store.

On March 2 at a 7-Eleven in Shirley, a man walked off with a donation jar that managers estimate could have had a few hundred dollars inside. The jar was earmarked for Donate Life, an organ donation program.

On March 9 at the North Country gas station in Saint James, another thief walked off with a donation jar. Owner Bill Barton says the money was supposed to help fund a Stony Brook University summer camp for kids who have parents with cancer.

Both crimes were caught on surveillance video.

The donation jars at both the 7-Eleven and the North Country gas station are going to be replaced and chained to make sure they are not stolen again.
