Police are investigating a home invasion in Mastic overnight.
The incident happened at a home on Meadowmere Avenue around 1 a.m.
Police say they responded after two men entered the home, confronting a man who lives there.
According to the police, the suspects hit the man on the head and took off with stolen items.
Officials say three children were asleep in the home, but were not hurt.
So far no arrests have been made.
