Officials have announced that two Long Islanders are among 13 current and former MTA workers accused in a Metro-North exam scam.
The Manhattan DA says the suspects cheated by obtaining the questions and answers to the tests to become conductors or engineers.
Among the 13, Dennis Degenfelder, of Holbrook, and Danielle Bonge, of Lindenhurst, were identified.
Bonge allegedly sent digital copies of exams to other engineer candidates. Degenfelder allegedly used his cellphone to record parts of the exam and then emailed the test to several others.
