The Islanders have a chance to clinch a spot in the next round of the NHL playoffs and will get the opportunity to do it in front of an additional 2,000 fans.
The additional seats are available in the vaccinated sections for Wednesday's Game 6 against the Penguins.
A total of 9,000 fans will have the chance to rock 'The Barn' and watch as the Islanders have a chance to clinch a playoff series at home for the first time since 1993.
"It'll be a great atmosphere," says coach Barry Trotz. "It'll be fun. It was a great atmosphere last game. I'll have to make a call to the governor to open it up for us and get all of our fans in here."
The Islanders topped the Penguins in Game 5 with a double overtime win on a goal by Josh Bailey.
Tomorrow's game against the Penguins begins at 6:30 p.m.
