Police are investigating the slaying of a teenager in Freeport.Officials say the shooting occurred around 5 p.m. Wednesday on Harris Avenue. Police say someone shot 19-year-old Michael Muniz in the chest and left him to die on the street. They say he had his money and cell phone on him, but the car he had been driving was gone.

Muniz was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

His car was found several hours later, less than a mile away.
