The 16-year-old girl who died in an Old Brookville car crash has been identified as a student at Seaford High School.
Students tell News 12 that there was an announcement honoring Angelia Dominguez and her family during first period.
Police say Dominguez was killed in a crash early Sunday when the 2008 Nissan she was driving hit a tree on Chicken Valley Road.
The teen was pronounced dead at the scene.
There is now a memorial to Dominguez tied to a tree that has a photo with her name underneath, as well as flowers and a teddy bear.
Three other teenagers were also injured in the crash. News 12 is told they are students at Hicksville High School.
Seaford students say a lot of students and teachers at the school are heartbroken about Dominguez's death.
"We were in disbelief, we didn't believe it," one student said. "We, you know, it's hard to believe that somebody your age and your grade and your schools, who you see walking through the hallways each day, is no longer here."
School officials activated their crisis intervention plan so school counselors and psychologists were ready to give support to anyone who needs it.
A GoFundMe page was set up for Dominguez's family. The goal was to raise $3,000 and the total was already over $8,000 as of 10 p.m. Monday.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
Students at Seaford and some residents in Old Brookville say they have serious concerns about the road where the crash happened.
News 12 reached out to Old Brookville officials about the road, but did not hear back as of 10 p.m.
