A 16-year-old teen died and three others were rushed to the hospital overnight after a car crash in Old Brookville.

Nassau police say the teens' car lost control and crashed into a tree along Chicken Valley Road just after 3:30 a.m. Sunday.

Police had not identified the victims as of Sunday night.

Nassau police say the car driven by a 16-year-old female lost control and hit the tree heading west along Chicken Valley Road near the intersection of Brookville Lane.

Detectives say the driver died at the scene.

Three other passengers in the car, 14-, 15- and 16-year-old males, were also injured.

Police say the 16-year-old male is in critical condition.
