Restaurant owners along Freeport's Nautical Mile are celebrating the return of their summer reason following months of recovery from Sandy.

Mike Danon, who owns the restaurant Tropix, says it was heavily damaged during last October's storm. Danon oversaw the reconstruction of Tropix and says he didn't think they would be able to rebuild so quickly.

"I thought we were done for good," says Danon. "I never thought that we would come back so quick."

Ninety-five percent of the businesses along the waterfront in Freeport are reopen.
