100-year-old historical treasure gets a new look, reopens for business

A Glen Cove deli that has been around for 100 years is reopened for business after some much-needed renovations.
Eddie Havoc grew up just a few blocks from the new Juniors Deli and Modern Market.
The unique neighborhood store has been around for more than a century serving folks in Glen Cove.
Now its rebuilt, renovated, and ready for the next hundred years.

“It’s the only store around here that's really important. You don't have to go into town to get your stuff, you can just come right here,” says owner Antoino McInnis.
McInnis and Sebastian Lopera both grew up in the neighborhood and frequented the store, which then was called the South Ridge Deli. When the pair saw the owner was selling the building, they said they had to save it.
A unique part of Glen Cove’s history has now been reborn with a modern look. The owners say they plan to have hot food at the new deli, which was never offered in the older business.
