Two armed gunmen are on the loose after forcing their way into a Freeport home and shooting a man in the leg early Tuesday morning.
Police say a 21-year-old man was going into his house through the back door when the two men came up behind him, pushed him inside and went in right after him.
Eugenie Baptiste says it was just after 12 a.m. when she was woken up by a commotion. She ran downstairs and saw her 21-year-old son and the two masked men, who were armed with handguns.
"They banged him on the head and then they came after me and told me to just get down," says Baptiste.
Baptiste says the men kept telling her they wanted money. She says that's when her older son Malik came running downstairs. The 25-year-old tried to exit the rear of the home and was shot in his right calf.

Police say they believe the Casino Street home was targeted, adding they are investigating if either of the two victims are drug dealers.
They say they have had numerous calls to the house with regard to disturbances and the sale of controlled substances.
Eugenie Baptise says her sons don't have anything to do with drugs and gangs.
Several padlocks have been placed on the front door of the home. According to the village attorney, the fire department chief has deemed the property uninhabitable and ordered it be boarded up immediately. Officials say they found several code violations and hazardous safety conditions.
