A woman was struck and killed by a vehicle as she tried to cross a Hempstead street.
Police say 41-year-old Karen Diaz was struck on Clinton Street shortly after 12 a.m. Saturday.
She was taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The driver has not been charged.
