Woman seriously injured in Glen Cove hit-and-run

The Glen Cove police say a 63-year-old woman was seriously injured in a hit-and-run Friday afternoon in Glen Cove. The woman, not yet identified, suffered serious injuries to her head and shoulder.

The Glen Cove police say a 63-year-old woman was seriously injured in a hit-and-run Friday afternoon in Glen Cove.

The woman, not yet identified, suffered serious injuries to her head and shoulder. The injuries are not life threatening.

Police say the woman was struck at the intersection of Cedar Swamp Road and Alexander Place as she was crossing the street.

Investigators are looking for the driver of a blue or light green Honda Civic with after-market rims and tires. Police believe the driver wasn't alone in the car at the time of the crash.

The Glen Cove Police Department is asking anyone who may have information on the accident to call them at 516-676-1000
