Police say a 20-year-old woman was killed after a drive-by shooting on Stein Drive in Brentwood.

According to authorities, Danielle Calabrese of Islip Terrace, was killed Friday evening after a hail of bullets was fired out of a white Jeep. Police say they don't believe Calabrese was the intended target.

Neighborhood residents say they fear the shooting was gang-related. Authorities are attempting to determine whether it was.

"A car drove by and shots were fired from within the car, probably at least a half a dozen shots," says Detective Lt. Jack Fitzpatrick, of the Suffolk County Police Department. "Everybody of course took cover and the car fled the scene."
