A West Babylon woman is facing animal cruelty charges.

Suffolk SPCA Detectives say they arrested Marylyn Richards.

According to detectives, an investigation found Richards was neglecting her female Maltese named Minni.

Officials say the dog was extremely matted and covered with feces, urine, dirt, and debris throughout her fur.
