Wintry mix to make for messy travel Monday night
A wintry mix is expected to make for messy travel Monday night.
News 12 meteorologists say snow will develop Monday evening. Temperatures will slowly begin to rise, and so sleet will begin to mix in around midnight. By 2-3 a.m., the precipitation will become all rain.
Roads may quickly become slick, and drivers should be alert for changing weather conditions.
A slushy coating to one inch is possible mainly between 8 p.m. and midnight. The best chance for any accumulation will be along the North Shore.
Tuesday will see a cold rain with highs only around 40 degrees. Sunshine returns on Wednesday but it will be windy and cold with highs in the 30s. Some flurries are possible Wednesday afternoon.
