FORECAST:
We have a quiet start to the holiday week with sunshine and dry conditions. Perfect for Santa and elves to run for last minute goods.
By the overnight, clouds settle in, and snowflakes appear across northwestern areas of the state. North of I-80 and as south as I-78 have the best chance for 1-2" of snow. The rest of the state could see lesser amounts, trace to an inch. A mix of rain to the end could make for slicker roads and untreated surfaces.
After midday, all the wet snow and mix pushes out and drying occurs. Breezy conditions into overnight.
Dry and sunny to clouds on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Warmer temps on Christmas Day and Friday, as we hover near 50 degrees.
TUESDAY: Cloudy with light snow, rain mix south of I-78. Snow slicks roads and sidewalks earlier morning before rain mix around noon. Higher elevations, 1-2" areas south trace to an inch. Breezy afternoon. Highs near 35-41. Overnight lows near 29.
WEDNESDAY/CHRISTMAS EVE: Partly sunny. Great for traveling. Highs near 47. Overnight lows near 30.
