A high wind warning is in effect for Long Island until 7 p.m.
Sustained winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 65 mph is possible. Residents are being warned that power outages are also possible.
For tonight, expect partly cloudy skies with lows 25 to 30 degrees. Wind chills will be in the teens.
