FORECAST:
A storm late tonight will bring very light, widely scattered rain showers to the area. It's possible that the rain may change very briefly to intermittent snow. The chance for snow accumulations is very low, but with much colder air moving in quickly behind the moisture it's possible some slick, slippery spots may develop.
The "moisture" this storm carries will fizzle and move away from New Jersey before daybreak. The winds will start picking up and become quite gusty early tomorrow. Gusts could peak frequently to 35 to 40 mph. The wind and the cold it brings with it will make for even colder "feeling" temperatures. Tomorrow before walking out the door you'll need to bundle in layers for comfort if you are spending anytime in the elements. Temperatures will be dropping all day long. A normal high for this time of year is set at 2:30 p.m. and is usually 40 degrees. Tomorrow, at 2:30 p.m., the temperature will be hovering near the freezing mark and still dropping.
Friday will be another cold and windy day. Friday morning, wind chills could feel-like the low single digits. Even with sun in the forecast temperatures don't really recover too much. Afternoon highs will be well below the norm and the wind makes it feel 10 to 15 degrees colder!
Saturday is cloudy and continued cold. A dry, but cloudy day. Sunday could get interesting. One, out of many, computer models is suggesting a storm may develop and ride up the up the coast for Sunday. Taken at face value, this one, and only, model is suggesting snow. I am not leaning in this direction yet. I'd like to see how the situation evolves before committing to talking about measurable snow for the end of the weekend. For now, let's just get accustomed to the incoming cold that will stick around for some time.
