A Westhampton postal worker was arrested, accused of trying to block Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents from making an arrest.
Tamara Mayorga-Wong, 57, was arrested in front of a 7-Eleven next to the Westhampton Post Office on Nov. 5 as agents were attempting to arrest an unidentified man, according to court documents.
During the arrest, Mayorga Wong allegedly came out of the post office in uniform and demanded authorities show her an arrest warrant.
Court documents say she went around to passenger side of the car the man was sitting in, opened it and yelled in Spanish "run away."
The man was later caught, andpolice arrested Mayorga-Wong after she tried to leave the post office in her own vehicle.
She was released on $50,000 bond and is not allowed to leave New York or New Jersey, where her son lives.
She and her attorney declined to comment after facing a judge on Thursday.
