Westhampton Beach eyes changing code that prohibits dancing
The Village of Westhampton Beach will hold a public hearing today on whether to change a 1970s law that prohibits dancing and entertainment at bars and restaurants.
The old regulation was uncovered when one restaurant was doing parties, according to Newsday.
The proposal would require annual entertainment permits.
Westhampton Beach banned the restaurant parties when people complained crowds were too rowdy back in the 70s.
