A small fire broke out at the AMC movie theater Thursday in Westbury, fire officials say.
The Westbury Fire Department says fire started from a fryer in the concession stand area. They say it led to a lot of smoke inside the theater.
Firefighters were able to knock out the fire and removed the fryer.
An inspector from the Nassau County Health Department arrived at the scene to do an inspection.
Depending on the results of the inspection, the Nassau fire marshal will decide whether the theater is safe to reopen.
