Service changes due to weekend construction could affect an estimated 40,000 LIRR riders this weekend.
There is no service between Hicksville and Mineola today or tomorrow as crews work on the new Ellison Avenue bridge in Westbury.
It means commuters will have to take buses between Hicksville and Mineola, or use other LIRR lines.
Riders can also expect delays of up to an hour, particularly on the Port Jefferson and Ronkonkoma branches.
LIRR customers are being urged to visit the LIRR website for more information.
