WHAT'S NEW: Showers and storms are ending across Long Island this evening with a clearing for sunset.
WHAT'S NEXT: Beautiful weather Thursday, with the chance for a few showers and possibly a storm on Friday. It doesn't look too threatening right now. A storm stalls to our north Saturday and that will now keep our weather unsettled with a few showers. Father's Day is dry.
OVERNIGHT: Partly cloudy and mild with lows near 58. South to west wind 5 to 15 mph. Sunrise: 5:20.
THURSDAY: Mostly sunny and nice with highs near 78. West wind 5 to 10 mph. Sunset: 8:26. Becoming mostly cloudy and mild at night with lows near 63. Slight chance for a stray shower.
FRIDAY: Partly sunny with the chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly during the afternoon. Highs near 76. Lows near 60.
