A Lake Ronkonkoma water main break resulted in flooding Saturday, submerging backyards and cutting off water supplies to homes.
According to the Suffolk Water Authority, a 6-inch water pipe burst, leaving about 60 homes temporarily without water while a crew repaired it.
Neighbors say this isn't the first time their streets have been under water. They say every time it rains heavily, the neighborhood floods because of poor drainage.
?There's one drain that sits close to the [grass] island, so the water, when it rains, the water drains onto the property,? says Kerry Zaeko, of Lake Ronkonkoma.
The water authority says a crew was able to restore water to the neighborhood just after 1 p.m.
