Walmart is settling a discrimination lawsuit involving a Farmingdale woman.
The suit claims Walmart refused to accommodate the former employee's disability and then fired her.
The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission says the company is going to pay the woman $60,000.
Walmart had given the employee accommodations for a hearing and speech impairment, according to the lawsuit.
Those accommodations were then taken away without explanation.
The woman was then fired.
