The new developer of the Cerro Wire site revealed its plan for the 90-acre plot of land.
Oyster Bay Development, which consists of Simon Property Group and Castagna Realty Group, says it plans to build a walkable village, which includes 600 residential units and 200,000-square feet of office space.
The proposal also includes two hotels, stores, restaurants and a park.
Originally, the developer wanted to build a mega mall, but residents strongly opposed it.
A spokesman for the developer says the new proposal "features an appropriately sized smart-growth walking village that meets the needs and objectives of the community to create a world-class live, work and play environment."
Simon says it will be holding community meetings over the next few months before submitting any plans to the town.
